Gajar ka Halwa
Ingredients
- 3 medium Carrots grated
- 12 Cashew nuts broken
- 1 Cup Jaggery
- 1 Cup Milk
- 1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder
- 2 tsp Condensed milk
- 1/2 Cup Water
- A pinch of Salt
- 1/2 Cup Ghee
- 3 Pistachios grated for garnish
Instructions
How to prepare Gajar ka Halwa | How to prepare Carrot Halwa
- Grate all the 3 carrots and keep it aside.
- In a Pressure Cooker, add ghee.
- Add cashews and fry for 1 min and keep it aside.
- In the same ghee, add the grated carrot into the cooker and stir for 30 secs.
- Now add salt and stir to avoid colour change.
- Add water into the cooker.
- Now add jaggery into the cooker and let it melt.
- Add milk and stir again.
- Now add condensed milk.
- Add cardamom powder for flavor.
- Close the lid of the cooker and 2 whistles.
- Open the cooker once it cools down.
- On high flame keep stirring and add ghee.
- Add the cashews which were tossed in the ghee.
- Keep stirring to avoid burning at the end.
- Now Gajar ka halwa is ready to serve.
