Pureed Palak Dal
Ingredients
- 1 Bunch Palak or Spinach Leaves
- 2 tsp Ghee
- 1 cup Moong Dal
- 1 medium Onion finely chopped
- 1 medium Tomato finely chopped
- 8-10 Curry leaves
- 3-4 Dried red chillies
- 4-5 cloves Garlic
- 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Cumin Powder
- 1 tsp Chilly Powder
- 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
- Salt As per taste
- Water

How to make Palak Dal | How to make Pureed Palak Dal
- Boil some water in a pan. Add palak leaves and salt. Puree the palak leaves only and keep aside.
- Take a pressure Cooker. Add Moong Dal, water, salt , Ghee and Turmeric powder, pressure cook it for 4 whistles.
- Take a pan, add, oil and mustard seeds. Let the seeds splutter.
- Add Chillies, Curry leaves and Garlic cloves and saute for few seconds.
- Add onion, saute till it becomes brown, Add Ginger garlic paste. Then Add tomato. And saute this till it becomes mushy.
- Add Chilli powder, Garam masala and Cumin powder and mix well
- Add Boiled dal to the mushy tomato mixture
- Mix the dal mixture well and add Salt.
- Add the Palak puree to the dal and mix well.
- Mix the puree well. Give it a boil and Serve hot.
