Ingredients
1BunchPalak or Spinach Leaves
2tspGhee
1cupMoong Dal
1mediumOnionfinely chopped
1mediumTomatofinely chopped
8-10Curry leaves
3-4Dried red chillies
4-5clovesGarlic
1tspMustard Seeds
1tspGinger Garlic Paste
1/4tspTurmeric Powder
1tspCumin Powder
1tspChilly Powder
1tspGaram Masala Powder

Instructions
How to make Palak Dal | How to make Pureed Palak Dal
Boil some water in a pan. Add palak leaves and salt. Puree the palak leaves only and keep aside.
Take a pressure Cooker. Add Moong Dal, water, salt , Ghee and Turmeric powder, pressure cook it for 4 whistles.
Take a pan, add, oil and mustard seeds. Let the seeds splutter.
Add Chillies, Curry leaves and Garlic cloves and saute for few seconds.
Add onion, saute till it becomes brown, Add Ginger garlic paste. Then Add tomato. And saute this till it becomes mushy.
Add Chilli powder, Garam masala and Cumin powder and mix well
Add Boiled dal to the mushy tomato mixture
Mix the dal mixture well and add Salt.
Add the Palak puree to the dal and mix well.
Mix the puree well. Give it a boil and Serve hot.
Notes
Do not Boil the Spinach/Palak leaves for long. Once the Palak is well immersed in the boiling water, switch the gas off and let it rest for 3-4 mins. After this take it to the blender and puree well
