Ingredients
For Marination
250gmsPrawnsDeveined
1/4tspTurmeric Powder
SaltAs per taste
For Frying the Prawns
4tbspGhee
For Gravy
3tbspOil
1mediumOnionfinely chopped
2InchCinnamon sticks
2Cardamon
3-4Cloves
3Dried Red Chillies
2Bay Leaves
200mlCoconut milkApprox
1tbspGinger garlic paste
1tspCumin Powder
1tspChilli Powder
1/4tspTurmeric Powder
1tbspCurdOptional
Coriander leavesfor garnish
SaltAs per taste
water or 2nd round of freshly extracted coconut milk
Instructions
How to prepare Malai Prawn Curry
Marinate Prawns with Salt and Turmeric powder and keep it aside for an hour
Heat a pan. Add Ghee.
Add the marinated prawns and fry until it is 3/4th cooked. Keep aside.
Heat oil in another pan.
Add all the spices and fry for 2-3 mins until you get the aroma of spices
Add chopped onions and fry until it is golden brown
Add ginger garlic paste and fry for a min
Add all the powder masala and fry for few mins
Add the fried prawns in the pan
Now add 2nd round of extracted milk, then coconut milk. Cook for 2-3 mins OR Add Store brought coconut milk, then add little water to adjust to your curry consistency
Add curd in the gravy and cook for 2 mins or till the prawns are fully cooked
Now take it off the heat and Serve hot. Garnish with Coriander Leaves.
