Smoked Chicken Drumsticks | Smoked Chicken Recipes

Ingredients

  • 6 Chicken Drumsticks | Chicken Legs
  • 1.5 tsp Corn flour or All purpose flour or Maida
  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 3/4 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1.5 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 tsp Kitchen King Masala or 3/4 tsp Garam Masala & 1/4 tsp dry mango powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin or Jeera Powder
  • 1 tsp Kasuri Methi or Dried Fenugreek leaves
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • Groundnut oil for pan fry
  • 20 gms Butter
  • A few Sliced Onions
  • A little Chilli Flakes
  • 1.5 tsp Dried Thyme leaves

Instructions

  • Take 6 Chicken Legs in a bowl
  • Add 1.5 tsp Cornflour or Maida or All purpose flour to the Chicken
  • Add 1 tsp Chilli Powder to the bowl
  • Add 3/4 tsp Garam Masala Powder to the bowl
  • Add 1.5 tsp Coriander powder to the bowl
  • Add 1 tsp Kitchen King Masala. If you dont have Kitchen King Masala, you can substitute this quantity with 3/4 tsp Garam Masala and 1/4 tsp dry Mango powder
  • Add 1 tsp Kasuri Methi or Dried Fenugreek leaves
  • Add Salt as per taste
  • Add 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • Add 1/2 tsp Cumin Powder
  • Mix all the ingredients and refrigerate the Chicken Drumsticks for an hour 
  • After an hour, heat a pan and add groundnut oil, till it covers the base of the pan
  • Add 20 gms Butter
  • Add a few sliced onions
  • Once Onions are translucent, add little chilli flakes
  • Add 1.5 tsp Dried Thyme leaves to the pan and mix well
  • Once onions turn slightly brown, Add the marinated Chicken Drumsticks
  • Dont let the Chicken stick to the pan, keep moving them a little. Turn and cook the chicken on all sides
  • Cover and cook till the Chicken is done
  • After the Chicken is cook, it is time to smoke the Chicken Drumsticks. Make some space in the pan for the Charcoal. Please the Charcoal container in the pan.
  • Add a little groundnut oil to the Charcoal. The smoke releases from the charcoal with a unique flavor on doing so. 
  • Cover the pan till the smoke is absorbed in the Chicken. 
  • Once the smoke goes away, your Smoked Chicken Drumsticks are ready to be served.
