Restaurant Style Palak Paneer

Palak Paneer is a North Indian gravy prepared with pureed Palak and cooked with soft Paneer and other ingredients for a great flavor.

Ingredients

  • 250 gms Spinach (Palak) blanched
  • 200 gms Cottage Cheese (Paneer)
  • 4 Cups Water for blanching
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 7-8 garlic chopped
  • 1 tsp Ginger garlic Paste
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1 Cup Water for gravy
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • Salt as per taste
  • Fresh Cream for Garnish

Instructions

  • Boil some water and add washed Palak leaves into it.
  • Add Salt into it.
  • Turn off the fire and cool the blanched Palak by adding it in cold water
  • Now take it in a blender and make a puree of it.
  • Keep the pureed palak aside.
  • Take a Pan, and add Oil in it.
  • Add chopped garlic and fry for 2 mins.
  • Now add chopped Onion. 
  • Fry the onions until golden brown.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and fry until the raw smell goes.
  • Now add the pureed Palak.
  • Add some blanched palak water or plain water into it.
  • Add turmeric powder and chilli powder.
  • Add Garam Masala into the Pan.
  • Add Cumin powder and stir.
  • Add Salt as per taste.
  • Cook for some time and let it boil.
  • Add Paneer into the gravy and cook until Paneer is soft.
  • Add milk into the gravy to enhance the flavor.
  • Now boil the gravy for some time and turn off the fire.
  • Garnish with heavy cream on the top of the gravy.
