Capsicum Chicken

Capsicum Chicken is a delicious side accompaniment, which is marinated with all the powdered masala and pan stir fried with diced Capsicum.

Ingredients

  • 500 gms Chicken
  • 2 Big Capsicums diced
  • 2 Medium Onions sliced
  • 2 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1 tsp Pepper Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 tsp Lime Juice optional
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1/4 Cup Oil for frying
  • 2 tsp Ghee

Instructions

  • Marinate Chicken with all the powder masala's and lime juice for atleast 1 hour.
  • Add Oil in a kadai.
  • Add Onions and fry until golden brown.
  • After the Onions turn slightly golden brown, add diced Capsicum
  • Fry until the capsicum changes its color as shown below
  • Now add the marinated chicken in the kadai.
  • Combine them together. Do not let it dry. Add some oil if required
  • Keep stirring slowly.
  • After some time the chicken starts leaving water.
  • At this stage close the lid and let the chicken cook in the same water.
  • Add 2 tsp ghee, it gives a good flavor to the chicken
  • Cook till the chicken is in dry consistency,  if required or else turn off, if you prefer semi gravy capsicum chicken. Serve with Pulao.
